Constantinos Siettos
Dept. of Mathematics & Applications
Short Bio
Constantinos Siettos is Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Applications "Renato Caccioppoli" of the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. He has also obtained the Italian National Habilitation (ASN) for Full Professor in Numerical Analysis.
He is the Chair of the International Advisory Board of Dynamics Days Europe. He is also a member of the Boards of the Ph.D. program "Modeling and Engineering Risk and Complexity" of the School of Advanced Studies (SSM) at Naples, and, the Italian National Ph.D. program in Artificial Intelligence.
His research is at the tri-junction between numerical analysis, mathematical modelling and machine learning for dealing with the "curse of dimensionality" in complex/multiscale dynamical systems. In these topics, he has supervised 10 Ph.D. theses.
For his work, he has been invited to give many plenaries and invited presentations in international conferences, workshops, research institutes and universities, and he has been awarded the Fulbright Award for Academic Excellence. His research has been funded by many European and national grants.
